New OPC DataHub Distributor in Argentina
eFALCOM to promote the OPC DataHub for factory
automation and system integration solutions.
Georgetown, Ontario (August 12, 2010) Cogent Real-Time Systems welcomes eFALCOM in
Argentina as a distributor for the OPC DataHub and other
Cogent software, to provide state-of-the-art data integration
capabilities to engineers and system integrators in South
"We have known about Cogent since the 90's," said Enrique
Modai, Business Development Manager of eFALCOM. "They were
offering software bridges between Wonderware and QNX, which was
the king of realtime PC operating systems back then. Now that
the world has gone with Windows, we support OPC as the protocol
of choice, and recognize the benefits that the OPC DataHub can
provide to our customers."
"Cogent welcomes a distributor with the experience and
marketing skills that eFALCOM brings to the table," said Andrew
Thomas, President of Cogent. "The company represents a broad
spectrum of hardware and software, and knows well the needs of
system integrators and plant engineers."
"We learned about the OPC DataHub from an associate in
Europe who has been testing it for data connectivity and
visualization solutions," said Enrique. "We see where it can
fit into a number of different application spaces, and our
customers are excited by the possibilities."
The OPC DataHub provides quick, reliable, and secure access
to valuable information direct from the factory floor. It is an
integrated tool that can present live process data directly on
an engineer's or manager's desk in a form most suitable:
database, spreadsheet, or web page. It provides OPC tunnelling,
bridging, and aggregation, and has a free API to support
virtually any requirement for OPC connectivity.
