Canadian and Russian software companies sign
new distribution agreement
Georgetown, Ontario (December 12, 2005) Cogent Real-Time Systems, provider of real-time
data connectivity software for industrial applications, has
signed a new distribution agreement with SWD Software Ltd, of
St. Petersburg, Russia. Both companies feel that this new
agreement reinforces their strong working
relationship.
"SWD Software has been a Cogent sales partner for nearly
ten years," said Andrew Thomas, president of Cogent. "We are
pleased to sign this agreement with a company that knows our
products and has installed and supported many QNX and Windows
based applications across Russia."
"Direct collaboration will allow both our companies to
provide quick technical support and presales consulting for our
customers, and speed up product delivery," said Leonid
Agafonov, Managing Director of SWD Software.
SWD Software distributes the QNX real-time operating
system and related software. Cogent software allows customers
to share data in real time between QNX and Windows applications.
The combination lets industrial customers exhange data between
QNX and virtually any Windows program, such as Excel, OPC
servers or OPC client programs.
"This new relationship will draw on the strengths of each
company to provide Russian manufacturers with robust, real-time
data connectivity," said Mr. Thomas. "We anticipate a renewed
level of collaboration that will benefit all of our
customers."
