Indonesian Automation Specialists to Offer the OPC DataHub
AIC Consulting will promote the OPC DataHub for
connectivity solutions from the plant to enterprise
applications.
Georgetown, Ontario (December 3, 2008) Cogent Real-Time Systems announces an agreement
with AIC Consulting in Tangerang, Indonesia, to sell the OPC
DataHub in the Indonesian market. AIC will use the OPC
DataHub for real-time data integration projects in production
facilities and across the enterprise.
"The OPC DataHub technology upholds our three pillars of
competency," said Tonny Leonard, of AIC Consulting. "It
enhances industrial automation systems, it provides links to
enterprise IT, and it thus fits in well with our consulting
services."
"AIC Consulting takes a broad-minded approach to plant
automation," said Andrew Thomas, President of Cogent. "In
addition to ensuring the highest level of interoperability on
the plant floor, they bridge the information gap to the
enterprise resources planning (ERP) level of a company. This is
an ideal application space for the OPC DataHub."
The OPC DataHub gives quick, reliable, and secure access
to valuable information direct from the factory floor. It is an
integrated tool that can present live process data directly on
an engineer's or manager's desk in a form most suitable:
database, spreadsheet, or web page. It provides OPC tunnelling,
bridging, and aggregation, and has a free API to support
virtually any type of OPC connectivity required.
AIC Consulting specializes in data connectivity for the
plant automation sector. AIC offers a comprehensive solution for
its customers based on industrial automation, information
technology, and consulting; the "three pillars of competency."
