`make_buffer`

make_buffer — creates a new, empty buffer.

Syntax

make_buffer (n_elements)

Arguments

n_elements: The number of elements (bytes) in the buffer.

Returns

A new buffer.

Description

This function creates a new, empty buffer with n_elements number of bytes, all set to zero.

Example

Gamma> make_buffer(5);
#{\0\0\0\0\0}
Gamma> make_buffer(12);
#{\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0}
Gamma>
