2.1. Starting up

You start the Cascade Historian at a shell, using the command histdb and specifying any of its command options. For example, to start the Cascade Historian in the domain mydomain, giving it a name Hist, with a configuration file hs.cfg, you would type the following at the command prompt:

[sh]$ histdb -d mydomain -n Hist -f hs.cfg
