An Excel program that has been set up to work with Cascade Connect crashes Excel or gives error messages if it is started before Cascade Connect.
There is a bug in the way that Excel handles DDE, which triggers the error.
Ensure that Cascade Connect is running before opening any Excel spreadsheets that require Cascade Connect.
